I have never tried Alegria before but I’ve been eyeing them. I’m so glad I tried these! First I have to say I cannot wear any sort of raised platform shoe because I have naturally terrible balance and weak ankles. So the first time I tried these out before they conformed to my feet I walked on an uneven area in the driveway and landed on my behind. Also the first day or so I thought the shoe felt unnatural, stiff and difficult to walk in. But by day three I wore them out to town and it totally broke them in. I wore them for 9 hours happily walking around in perfect comfort. I love the pattern of this sandal, I love the footbed technology and feel as I have all sorts of alignment and posture issues. I already ordered another Alegria style. The only thing that has frustrated me is I hate dirty shoes and these light colored, brushed footbeds are impossible to keep clean. I literally wash my feet every time before wearing these sandals in hopes to keep them looking new but spots and discoloration are happening from wear nonetheless.I didn’t know these footbeds were replaceable so I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a wonderful idea and I’m willing to invest more money because the shoe will (hopefully) be useable for a long time.Also to note is I don’t like clunky, unfeminine designs but this one is feminine and good for your feet so it’s a win/win!
